It is recommended to drink roughly 11 cups of water per day for the average woman and 16 for men 💦

Many people don’t understand the importance of keeping hydrated. However, it is crucial for good
health as it ensures that our bodily systems carry out their various functions.

Water helps us regulate body temperature, keep joints and eyes lubricated and skin healthy, deliver
nutrients to cells, prevent infections and keep organs functioning properly. Water not only effects our physical body but it also improves our quality of sleep, cognition, and mood! 🧠

Let’s make a conscious effort to hydrate our bodies. It will make such a difference to our general wellbeing 🙏🏼.

Just a few more days until The Wokingham Wellbeing

Just a few more days until The Wokingham Wellbeing Festival, run by Mindset unlimited 🙌🏻. It’s on the 24th of September and it will be in the beautifully tranquil Howard Palmer Gardens! 🍃

This festival is a day filled with classes and workshops in Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Fitness, Nutrition, Mental Health, and Healing. There are also amazing key speakers such as Amanda Charles (Psychic Psychologist); Minna Wood (Nutrition specialist) ; Dr Abigail Goss (Chronic Pain expert) and Kevin Waite (Mental Health expert). All of the talks are free and the classes/workshops are £5.
 Come along and bring your whole family! Other than the countless workshops, there will be children’s activities, face painting, art, music and vegan food stalls!

Let’s talk about self-love 🥰.
We all know the importance of self-love, however, the majority of us do not put this into practice.

Self-love has many facets. It involves deeply reflecting on who we are, becoming aware of and accepting our flaws, identifying our strengths and not being afraid to delight in them. We need to own our traumas and issues as well as showcase our talents 🙏🏼.

Self-love also involves looking after ourselves, i.e. self-care. The first step in caring for ourselves is creating boundaries with others. This means realizing our social limits and not letting others take advantage of us. We can be the person who many go to for advice and who goes the extra miles for others, but only if our wellbeing remains in check ✔️. We cannot be drowned by the needs of others and must always remember what our OWN needs are.

The second step in self-care is creating boundaries with ourselves. We live in a goal driven society, leading us to believe that if we don’t achieve anything tangible in the day, it has been a waste. As a result, many individuals just push push push…

Most of us wake up every morning, with a list of chores to do, and will not stop until we have achieved them all. On some days we may have the energy to crush them all, however, on others we may struggle to do so. On the days where we are struggling, we typically “pull up our socks” and push ourselves to the ultimate limit. We need to be aware that in these moments, we are breaking our own boundaries and are taking advantage of ourselves.

Who cares if you don’t go for that run? If you don’t cook that meal? If you don’t finish that essay? Doing it tomorrow is not the end of the world. We are too scared NOT to do what we have planned. We fear that we will fail and our whole life will fall to pieces. However, you are much more worthy than a 5 km run, an A + on an essay, or an amazing home cooked meal. You are a human being with silliness, youthfulness and love ✨.

The kindest people are not born that way, they are made. They are the souls that have experienced so much at the hands of life, they are the ones who have dug themselves out of the dark, who have fought to turn every loss into a lesson. The kindest people do not just exist – they choose to soften where circumstance has tried to harden them, they choose to believe in goodness, because they have seen firsthand why compassion is so necessary. Verve festival is coming up and I will be offering garden talks about the beautiful modality- TRE 💕 you will find me in the garden pop up section of the festival and the times for my “shake is off” talks are 10.00-10.45am; 1.00-1.45pm; and 4.00-4.45pm. 🙌🏻 these will be taster sessions and anyone is welcome to chat to me in between to find out more info 💕
