In 2017 we had the privilege of attending a 6 week course of TRE with Courtney! My youngest son & myself had, 3 months prior, been involved in a very traumatic armed robbery at home. Therefore; I feel I had been “holding onto” tension and post-traumatic stressors for some time. Also, being a working -Mom of 2 sons, our lives consist of a rediculously high “level” of time-urgent , “fight/flight” Sympathetic Nervous System over-firing. I am a Physiotherapist so, was quite skeptical initially of the theory behind TRE. But every question I may have asked -Courtney was determined to find the papers showing the explanation behind the principle . I found as the sessions progressed, I produced more and more tremors! Moving from initially only in my lower limbs to my shoulders, arms & neck too. Afterwards I felt absolutely exhausted & quite emotionally drained-but I felt real peace & contentment as the sessions continued ! I also did the TRE exercises at home and with my sons to release their anxiety too. Sometimes the tears would just flow, almost un-controllably, during the session & sometimes the tremors continued long after the classes. Quite a scary notion realizing that we never really let our systems “calm-down”. In this forum it can let go safely. Courtney is the most honest and open instructor. She is Real & Approachable in all aspects while also allowing one to feel completely “safe” in a new “emotional state” ! How often we lose sight of the importance of looking after self ! Courtney has taught me how to do this and I would recommend anyone to attend her classes for meaningful change. Thank you Courts
